Azure

The term Azure (from Persian لاژورد lazhward) can refer to any of the following:

The blueish color of the sky.
The sky itself when it has no clouds.
The tincture with the color blue in heraldry, see azure (heraldry).

The name derives from the gemstone lapis lazuli and can also refer to a pigment produced with the crushed mineral.
