Permyakia or Autonomous district of the Komi-Permyaks (Russian: Коми-Пермяцкий автономный округ) is the administrative subdivision for Komi-Permyaks within Perm Oblast of the Russian Federation. Administrative center: Ural mountains, upper basin of Kama River. Date of establishemt: February 26, 1925. Population: 136,000 (2002 census).
Other notable settlements: townlet Pozhva (Пожва).
After a referendum held in 2004 Permyakia will be merged with Perm Oblast to form a Perm Krai, which is scheduled to come into existence on December 1, 2005.
