Australian Defence Forces
The Australian Defence Force (ADF) consists of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), Australian Regular Army (ARA), and Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF).
The ADF is administered by Australia's Department of Defence, that administers the Australian Defence Organisation (ADO) consisting of the ADF and the civilian personnel supporting the ADF. The civilian support consists of activities such as the Defence Intelligence Organisation (DIO), and the Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO) that purchases and maintains defence equipment.
