Arthur Schlesinger (b. 1917) in Columbus, Ohio is a historian and author. His major work has been as a historian of Roosevelt's New Deal, and as the in-house historian of the Kennedy administration. He has written recently about the erosion of common civic engagement occassioned by multiculturalism.
