Arthur Mastick Hyde (July 12, 1877 - October 17, 1947) was an American Republican politician who served as Governor of Missouri and U.S. Secretary of Agriculture
Hyde was born in Princeton, Missouri in 1877. He became a lawyer. He served as the Governor of Missouri between 1921 and 1925. Later he served as the Secretary of Agriculture under President Herbert C. Hoover. He died in New York City following cancer surgery in 1947.
Some of his family members were also involved in politics. His dad, Ira B. Hyde, was a representative from Missouri. His brother, Laurance M. Hyde, was a chief justice of the Missouri supreme court.
