Armenian Apostolic Church

The Armenian Orthodox Church is part of the Oriental Orthodox communion.

It was founded by Saint Gregory the Illuminator, when he converted the Armenian King in 301 A.D., making Armenia the first officially Christian state in the world. The foundation for this event was laid by the Apostles Thaddeus and Bartholemew who brought Christianity to Armenia.
