Anund

Önund or Bröt-Anund (trail-blazer Anund) was according to the sagas a Swedish king responsible for clearing new land and for arranging new Swedish settlements. In his days peace reigned over Sweden and he became very rich in items. In the 6th century Sweden was still sparsely populated and heavily forested.

He went to Estonia and avenged his father's death, and returned with great booty in the fall.

According to Historia Norwegiae, he was murded by his brother Sigvard.

He was the father of the infamous Ingjald ill-ruler.
