Anglo-Irish Agreement



         


The Anglo-Irish Agreement (1985) was an agreement between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland setting up a framework for regular conferences between British and Irish ministers to discuss Northern Ireland matters while confirming that there would be no change in the status of the province unless a majority of its citizens gave its consent.
