Anglo-America



         


North America in which English is the main language. It should be noted that this is not a widely used term. It is generally taken to include the United States of America and English Canada. In addition, according to the definition, Belize, Guyana, Jamaica, and several other Caribbean nations belong to Anglo-America despite their geographical proximity to Latin America.

In contrast, the adjective Anglo-American is used in two ways:

Together with Dutch-speaking Suriname and the Dutch West Indies, Anglo-America composes the non-Latin American portion of the Americas, to wit, Germanic America.
