Alpha Delta Pi, the first-ever sorority, was founded May 15, 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia. The orginal name of the sorority was The Aldelphan Society. The first Greek letter name was Alpha Delta Phi, but because of a conflict with a male fraternity the name was later changed to Alpha Delta Pi. The open motto for this sorority is "We Live for Each Other." The Excutive office for this sorority is located in Atlanta, GA. This sorority's colors are azure blue and white, and its flower is the woodland violet. The mascot is a loin, nicked named Alphie. Alpha Delta Pi currently has 132 chapters in the United States and Canada, and its national philanthropy is the Ronald McDonald House.
