Alnwick Garden

The Alnwick Garden is a formal garden established in the grounds of Alnwick Castle in Alnwick, Northumberland, UK.

The Alnwick Garden is the vision of Jane, current Duchess of Northumberland, and is very much a work in progress.

The first phase of development, opened in October 2001, involved the creation of a cascading fountain and initial planting of the gardens. Two more phases are planned, involving extensions to the garden, and a visitor centre.

The purpose of the garden is to augment the facilities available on the Alnwick Castle site for tourists and educational visitors.
