Alewife Station (Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority)
Alewife Station, located at the intersection of Fresh Pond Parkway and Rindge Avenue, in Cambridge, Massachusetts is a local transportation hub. It opened on March 30, 1985. Its facilities include:
- the northern terminus of the Boston subway's Red Line
- a bus terminal for several local routes
- a multi-level parking garage with a direct connection to Route 2 at Exit 61.
- bicycle parking
- connections to the Minuteman Bikeway and the Somerville Community Path
- pedestrian access to East Arlington, via the Minuteman Bike Path and Thorndike Street in Arlington.
- a small food court and waiting area
