The Air Force 1 Shoe is a product of Nike, Inc. which first came out in 1982. The reason they were called the Air Force 1 is because of the air technology. The shoe was popular in the early 1980s and then again in the late 1990s, but in the early 2000s they became very popular. Rapper Nelly created a song named after them in 2003.
