Agne

Agne or Agni Skjafarbonde was a king of the house of the Scylfings, according to Heimskringla. He was the son of Dag the Wise. Agni captured a beautiful girl, Skjalf the daughter of Frosti, during a raid in Finland.

However, when they had entered Mälaren, Skjalf convinced her men to hang Agne from the branch of a tree in his own golden necklace. He was burnt and is reputedly buried at the spot in Agnehögen in Lillhersby. He was succeeded by his two sons Erik and Alrik.
