Adrian Nastase
Adrian Năstase (b. June 22, 1950) is the current Prime Minister of Romania. He has been Prime Minister since 28 December 2000. He is a member of the Social Democratic Party of Romania (PSD).
Born in Bucharest. He's married and he has two children.
Năstase graduated from the University of Bucharest, credentialed by both the Department of Law and the Department of History and Philosophy, and has worked as a professor, judge, and as president of several organizations involved with law and international relations. From 1990 to 1992, he taught law at several institutions of higher education in Bucharest.
Năstase has published over 150 pieces on International law in Romanian and foreign journals, and has presented over 140 talks at international meetings; publications have included:

- 1992–1996 - President of Chamber of Deputies. President of parliamentary group "Friends of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
- 1993–1997 - Executive President of Romanian Democratic Socialist Party (PDSR)
- December 1996 - Becomes leader of PDSR parliamentary group
- 1996 - Founding member of International Assembly of Francophone Parliamentarians
- 1996 - Member of the Romanian parliamentary delegation to the gathering of parliamentarians of the Council of Europe

- December 28, 2000 - Inaugurated Prime Minister
- January 19, 2001 - Chosen as President of the PDSR
- June 16, 2001 – Chosen as President of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), successor to the PDSR
