Adelaide Metro

Adelaide Metro is the marketing name for the public transport system of Adelaide, Australia.

The Adelaide Metro consists of bus, tram and train services running regularly mainly out of the CBD to the suburbs though there are some services which loop between the suburbs. Most notably, the public transport system includes the Adelaide O-Bahn which is the world's longest and fastest guided busway as well as other implementations of Bus Rapid Transit within the system like dedicated bus lanes at traffic lights. The system uses a unified system for ticketing, called Metroticket. New Smart Stops (high-tech bus stops) have recently begun trial on Adelaide's most patronised routes (The Parade and Henley Beach Road).

The system is operated jointly by the Government of South Australia through the Passenger Transport Board and private companies, Serco, Southlink and Torrens Transit.
