Acura CL

The Legend Coupe was renamed the Acura CL in 1996 following Acura's alphanumeric naming of all of their vehicles. The CL had a 2.2 liter in line 4, which was later bumped up to a 2.3 liter engine and finally given a 6 cylinder.

Sharing underhood pinnings with the Honda Accord and the Acura TL, the Acura CL could never compete with the likes of the BMW 330ci. Due to increasing costs and declining sales, Acura decided to end the CL. In 2002, Acura released a Type S version of the CL with a potent 3.2 liter SOHC J motor V6, a LSD, and a 6 speed manual transmission.
