Abitibi is the common short form for Abitibi-Témiscamingue, one of the regions of Quebec, and is the name of a regional county municipality in Quebec see Abitibi Regional County Municipality, Quebec.
Abitibi is a river in Ontario, Canada. A rapid stream which is the outlet for Lake Abitibi, which after a course of 200 miles joins the Moose river, flowing into James Bay.
Abitibi is also an abbreviation for Abitibi Consolidated Inc., a major Canadian pulp and paper manufacturer.
