Økokrim (an abbreviation of "Økonomisk Kriminalitet" meaning "Economical Crime"), created in 1989, is the central, national unit for fighting economic, environmental and computer related crimes in Norway.
Økokrim was the organisation prosecuting Jon Johansen in the Norwegian DeCSS legal proceedings. The Electronic Frontier Foundation is involved in defending Johansen.
