Sarah Lane
Sarah Lane was born in Sebastopol, California and attended the University of San Francisco. She is the senior segment producer and on-air talent for G4techTV's nightly variety show The Screen Savers, where she shows off registry hacks and software downloads.
On the live June 12, 2003 episode she "vandalised" the BambooWeb page on monkeypox, by writing "Sarah Lane is totally cool and does not have monkeypox." She later wrote "Sarah Lane is a cool Screen Saver. Down with Monkeypox."
She later wrote that:
- "Although this excites me in its ease and simplicity, it's a little frightening. I mean, what if I had instead written 'My boss is a big fat cat and his phone number is available for girls who love geeks'? Sure, somebody would delete it, but this calls for some seriously dedicated moderators."
By September 8, 2003, she was more accepting of BambooWeb, and added the name of co-presenter Catherine Schwartz to the article List of people by name: Schp-Schz. She also deleted an "s" from the article television, vandalising a pluralised word.
