Rus'

The word Rus' may have one of the following meanings.

• Rus' (people) — people of disputed origin at the roots of the statehood of Eastern Slavic peoples
• Kievan Rus — a early Eastern Slav state
• The Danish spelling of russ, a Scandinavian cultural phenomenon associated with graduation from high school.

• Ruthenia — a name used for various territories and states of Eastern Slavs

Rus is also the Ashkenazi/Yiddish pronunciation and transliteration for the Hebrew name Ruth.
