Prince Mircea of Romania

Prince Mircea of Romania was born in 1913 and died in 1916.

Officially, Mircea was the third son and youngest child of Queen Marie and King Ferdinand of Romania. However, most historians now believe that Mircea's father was actually Prince Barbu Stirbey.

Mircea's brother the subsequent King Carol II and his first wife Zizi Lambrino named their son (who was born in 1920) Mircea, in memory of Prince Mircea who had died four years previously.
