The Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics is located in Canada, in the province of Ontario, in the small town of Waterloo (famous for its University of Engineering). It is one of the world's leading research centres for young and brilliant minds.
It was founded by Mike Lazaridis, CEO of Research in Motion, with a donation of $100 million, announced on October 23, 2000.
