The parti bleu was a moderate political group in Quebec, Canada that was formed around 1850. It was based on the moderate reformist views of Louis-Hippolyte Lafontaine, and was a rival to the radical parti rouge.
The party derived much of its support from the ultramontanists in the Roman Catholic Church, and became the basis of the conservative movement in Quebec. Its leaders included George-Étienne Cartier. The parti bleu formed an alliance with Tories in Upper Canada in the legislative assembly of the united Province of Canada, and later joined with them to form the Conservative Party of Canada.
