Oskar Lange



         


Oscar Ryszard Lange (1904-1965) was a Polish economist.

He was an advocate of market tools in socialist planning. He is probably most known for On the Economic Theory of Socialism.

Lange was a professor at the University of Chicago from 1938.

He served as a go-between for F.D. Roosevelt and Joseph Stalin during the post-war discussion on Poland.

He was Polish ambassador in USA from 1946 to 1947.
