Novo mesto
Novo mesto is a municipality in the Republic of Slovenia. According to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia it covers total area of 298.5 km².
Census data
As of the census of 2002, there are 40,925 people, that is 20,017 men and 20,908 women. Average age of the inhabitants is 39,58 years.
At the average, there are 29.25 m² of residential area, and inhabitants are living in total of 13,796 households and 11,408 families.
Employment
Out of the inhabitants of the Novo mesto municipality there are 19,579 working active persons, and out of them 2,118 people are unemployed. Average August 2003 brutto wage was 263,432 tolars and average netto wage is 164,851 tolars. There are 1,725 students in the municipality.
