Long jawed spider

The Long jawed spiders constitute the Family Tetragnathidae of the Order Araneae.

An interesting genus of tetraganathids is Nephila or "golden silk" spiders. In the photo at right it is possible to see the golden tint of the silk in the web, particularly the ray at eleven o'clock. The spider is a fine specimen, heavy with eggs (photographed in Indonesia).
