Knapdale

Knapdale is a rural area of Argyll and Bute in the Scottish Highlands, adjoining Kintyre to the south, and divided from the rest of Argyll to the north by the Crinan Canal. It is shaped somewhat like the number "3".

Much of the region is covered by the Knapdale Forest, planted in the 1930s. Attractions in the region include the Chapel of Keills, the thirteenth century Kilmory Chapel and the eleventh century Achnamara, Ardrishaig
