Joe le Taxi
Welsh zydeco band started in 1992 by accordionist Rees Wesson (formerly with Edward the Second). They quickly established a following as the premier band in the UK playing in the style of John Delafose and Boozoo Chavis. Changes in line-up led to a loss of momentum in the late 1990s, but the current line-up (since early 2001) has regained their title as the "Premier UK Zydeco Band". They appeared at Bury, England, and Ameland, Netherlands, in 2003 and at Raamsdonksveer, the most prestigious zydeco festival in Europe, in June 2004.
