Hatti

Hatti is the reconstructed ancient name of a region in Anatolia inhabited by the Hattians between the 3rd and 2nd millennia BC, and later by the Hittites, who were at the height of their power ca 1400 BC1200 BC. The capital city of both peoples was Hattusa (modern Bogazköy) in what is now central-northern Turkey. The term is derived from the Assyrian designation of "Hatti-Land" for the areas to the west of the Euphrates.
