Hackney is an area in northeast London, part of the London Borough of Hackney.
Hackney is bordered by the boroughs of Waltham Forest to the north east, Haringey to the north, Islington to the west, City of London to the south west, Tower Hamlets to the south and Newham to the south east.
Hackney biggest park is Victoria Park, East London.
Hackney is one of the boroughs which feature in London's bid for the 2012 Olympics.
