Gerard Kennedy

Gerard Kennedy is a Canadian politician, who represents the riding of Parkdale?High Park in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. He is a member of the Liberal Party, and currently serves as the province's Minister of Education.

Before entering politics, Kennedy was executive director of Toronto, Ontario's Daily Bread Food Bank.

In 1996, Kennedy was a candidate for the leadership of the Liberal Party, which was won by Dalton McGuinty on the fourth ballot. Kennedy finished in second place.
