Christo Yavasheff (born June 13 1935) is an artist popularly known as Christo. He is famous for wrappings of objects and buildings, as well as environmental art. This is called installation art. He was born in Gabrovo, Bulgaria. He works with his wife and partner Jeanne-Claude. Some of his famous works include the wrapping of the Pont Neuf in Paris with white cloth and his display of fabric strung across many kilometres in California.
