Bella Abzug



         


Bella Savitsky Abzug (July 24, 1920March 31, 1998) was a legendary American political figure and leader of the women's movement. She served the state of New York in the United States House of Representatives from 1971 to 1977. She was well-known for her habit of wearing hats.
