Backstreet Boys

The Backstreet Boys, or BSB, are a boy band and pop group formed in the mid-1990s that grew to considerable popularity in the late 1990s and the year 2000, but quietly slipped away from the charts. The band went on hiatus, never officially breaking up. They plan to return quietly in 2004 or 2005.

At their peak, the Backstreet Boys had a wildly excited following among pre-teen and older fans, predominantly female, and across many international markets. They retain considerable residual popularity.

Their hits included both up-tempo songs like "Backstreet's Back" and "The One" and soft ballads like "As Long As You Love Me," "Shape of My Heart," and the ambiguously longing "I Want It That Way"

Originally from Orlando, Florida, the band's members include Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, Kevin's cousin Brian Littrell, AJ McLean and Howie Dorough.
