Americentrism
Americentrism or American ethnocentrism refers to the collective views of Americans which are ethnocentrist or culturally biased, and to holders of an American self-image and mythology that prescribes its own values as universally benevolent or comparatively superior. However the term Americentrism points to issues where the American point of view dominates, to the detriment of a neutral or world view. Americentrism is a form of ethnocentrism.
